The few times that we had a house phone when I was younger. My father hated answer it. But he was taught to mind his manners. He grumbled the entire 5 ft space it took him to get to answer the phone. But when he spoke into the receiver his first word would be,

jello.

No matter who it was or what they wanted. Or how aggreviated he was to answer it he always answered them with a friendly
